GRACE BAPTIST BIBLE STUDY/SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY

 

 

We have committed ourselves to being a “Teaching/Learning Community of Believers”.  As believers, we understand that the most important thing we can learn is God’s will for our lives.  We believe that God communicates how we are to live and believe through the Holy Bible.  As followers of Christ we commit ourselves to studying the Bible, trusting that by the power of the Holy Spirit, God allows us to hear and understand His truths.

 

As a congregation of believers, we commit ourselves to personal, individual Bible study, but we know that there is high value in studying together.  We believe that God’s spirit works to allow us to see individual truths that we need to share with one another.

 

With this in mind, many volunteers of Grace Baptist Church have committed themselves to providing an opportunity for anyone who wants to study the Bible.  Through our Sunday School, classes are offered for all age groups from pre-kindergarten through adults.  Our teachers and staff spend time preparing for the specific lessons for the day.  They then use time, talent, and special curricula material purchased by the Church to teach lessons that are exciting and relevant for our lives today.  Sunday School takes place at Grace Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning from September – May.  During our Summer schedule; June – August, Sunday School classes are offered at 8:00 a.m.

 

Our Sunday School also provides special programs and opportunities.  There are special programs for Christmas and Easter where all of our students from the youngest to the oldest have the opportunities to use their talents in sharing God’s truth through plays, recitations, readings and dance.  Our Sunday School also plans special fun and fellowship events throughout the year.  Our Summer Church Picnic/Outing is a special time where all of the people and families of the Church share food and friendship in a relaxed atmosphere.

 

On Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings Pastor Green teaches an Adult Bible Study Class.  It is an opportunity for adults to interact with one another, with Pastor Green, and more importantly with God’s Word.  It becomes a sacred time for studying God’s Word and allowing it to apply to our hearts, minds, and lives.  Pastor Green has been exposed to much information in classes and experiences regarding the Bible.  The classes are always relaxing, inspiring, and encouraging.  We always leave with greater confidence in the love of God, and in the reality of Jesus Christ in our day-to-day living.
