Caring and Sharing of Grace Baptist
Church
The Caring and Sharing
Group members share in all activities wholeheartedly. We come together as a family. We
grow out of doing those things such as sharing our time and talents and keeping the shut-
ins of our Church abreast of what is going on in our Church. Each member volunteers her or
his time caring
and sharing with
an assigned shut-in member of the congregation. We have suggested
guidelines we follow in making calls to the shut-ins. We have over 35 active members in
the Group at this time. Throughout the year we phone the shut-ins once a week, if
possible. During Christmas and Easter Holidays the Group sends out cards to people and
visit as well. Easter baskets and Christmas bags filled with nutritious snacks are also
given to our shut-ins. Cards of encouragement
are mailed to college students from time to time. During the summer we have a social
gathering. This is a time for the shut-ins to come together, have a light brunch and
fellowship with members of the congregation and friends. |
